A "good gun" is like a good friend. It's not just someone you know, it's someone you understand, someone who understands you, and someone you like and are comfortable and also whom you can rely.
A "good gun," just like a friend, is not something you want someone else to choose for you based on what they think is good for you.
A "good gun" will typically cost between $350 and $700, depending on your taste and what you really need. Note that the more expensive guns may not be a better firearm, but simply ‘fit’ you better.
Many, many times we meet people with guns that just don't work for them. They spent money, and yet they don't have the protection and confidence they were seeking. Oftentimes, this unfortunate situation is brought on because they bought the gun without knowing or understanding how the type of pistol action critically affects the way you can carry or use the gun. It can also be due to not understanding what is and is not important in a gun. And that depends on who will use it and how it will be used.
This 2-hour hands-on class will teach all the critical components you should have in mind BEFORE purchasing a firearm. And, since Safe N Secure does not sell guns, we have no bias or hidden agenda. We truly want only to guide you to find the gun that is best for you.
In the course of this class you will handle 12 different pistols in order to determine what gun you are most comfortable. Although our customers generally schedule the training in the evening, we can accommodate any schedule.
By the end of this class you will be able to . . .
- Explain how stress impacts your motor skills in a self-defense situation, and thus how it impacts your gun selection;
- Describe how different types of guns present benefits, and also dangers depending on how they will be carried and used;
- Identify the type of action and gun that best fits your needs;
- Operate a variety of pistols safely;
- Load, dry-fire and unload various types of firearms.
Instructor providing the training is insured and credentialed. Instructor is also the owner of the DrOpZOne, a 3-gun Tactical Shooting Range, and is the co-founder of AmVIEWnition, which may be used during the training, and is also a Florida licensed private investigator and NRA training counselor who has trained over 500 Firearm instructors.
NOTE: this class does not qualify for a Florida Concealed Carry Weapon Permit. If you wish to add the option of the permit, add the CONCEAL CARRY PERMIT CLASS to your cart.

My husband and I took the class with Bernard to get our concealed weapon permit and it was a great class. He was very informative and took his time in teaching and answered all of our questions. The class was not boring and kept our interest the entire time. Thanks again Bernard for offering this class to us. We really did appreciate you giving your time to us and giving up your Friday evening to do it! We will definitely be taking more classes with you so we can learn more ways of keeping ourselves and our family safe. Thank you!
Informative, Educational and Interesting - A great experience!

My husband and I recently took this class. It was very informative! We learned so much about guns and how to handle them and shoot them properly and safely. The instructor was very hands-on and personalized the class to our abilities. He added so much more to the class with stories and real life useful information. We would highly recommend this course.
