- SELF-STUDY Defensive Pistol Training Program
This self-contained Pistol Qualification CourseTraining kit is made of nine sessions to harden your pistol combat skills and qualify to one of three levels of the ContinentalArmy.US rating. The kit can be used two ways: As a self-improvement tool to teach yourself tactical shooting at your own pace or as a teaching kit for an instructor to deliver such training to trainees.
The standards of performance for the techniques presented in this program are based on real world combat skills.
In a growing world of firearm enthusiasts and shooting opportunities ranging from plinking to practical shooting competitions the Continental Army .US thought necessary to develop a program that would help differentiate action shooting activities such as the respectable IDPA, IPSC and NRA Action Pistol, from actual combat techniques designed to help you have the upper hand in a gun fight.
Competition is fun, and so is winning, but the skills required to engage an opponent who is shooting back are quite different. The best analogy we can make is between drivers. A NASCAR driver has skills that a defensive driver doesn't have, and, a defensive driver has skills that a NASCAR driver doesn't have. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you deem the use of deadly force required and justified to protect yourself, your family or friends, that situation will likely occur on the street or in your house, not at a competition on a regulated shooting range.
This Pistol Qualification Course (PQC) is designed to assist you in building the skills, strength and mental preparedness to effectively fight when it matters most. You will not and cannot win a shooting competition using the skills presented in this manual because what is required to win a competition is tactically opposite of what you will need to do.
In the real world there is . . .
- No clock to beat,
- No room for shortcut,
- No time for previewing the fight,
- No chance to know where and when the threat will come from,
- No certainty about when it will start or stop,
- No "re-shoot" opportunity,
- Definite terrible consequences for mistakes.
ACHIEVE SELF DEFENSE SKILLS AT YOUR OWN PACE

Considering the cost of attending a training school and all that is done, after a few days you are asking, How did they want me to do that maneuver? Here is the solution! You can replay the area of interest and more importantly you only proceed once you master the current session. Money well spent.
Something that works!

“This program tackles all of the basics needed for defense.
I went through the entire course myself, and it was so simple I went through it with my daughter. She picked up on it more quickly than I could believe!”

This program brought me from a VERY basic skill level, to a much more advanced one. I know all about cover now, and can perform reloads smoothly and with ease. On my last range session I had a friend time me on my draw from concealment, and using the cross lift technique, I managed to draw and fire my first round in less than a second! Im certain that without doing this kit none of this would have been possible. GREAT PROGRAM!!!
