- NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
Product Description
The NRA "BIT" is the core component of ALL NRA instructor credentials. This is a one-day class where you learn the methodology and principles the NRA has chosen to provide the most effective tools to you to teach shooting to your students. It also includes a study of rules and regulation revolving around being an instructors, such as ethics guide, use of the NRA trademarks, class roster processing, history of the NRA, how to best evaluate students, and much more.
The BITis generally taught as an integral part of many instructor courses. For example, when you take the course to become a Certified Pistol Instructor, the BIT is generally part the course, and always taught on the first day. Once you have taken the BIT once, it remains valid for two years. Which means that you can add other discipline to your credential by only taking the course component delta to the specific discipline you wish to teach. However, after two years of having taken the BIT the first time, it expires. Which means you now then have to retake it.
The BIT is also required for a Range Safety Officer to become a CHIEF Range Safety Officer. At Safe N Secure, we make it as easy as possible for you to stay current and maintain your credentials. If you are a former Safe N Secure or DrOpZOne student who took his/her credential from us and has maintained a good relationship with us, we welcome you to take the BIT at no charge. This is to thank you from having trusted us in the first place.
