This 5-day/50 hours class includes 5 components and 2 Instructor Certifications: Certified Certified Shotgun Instructor and Certified Rifle Instructor, and the Basic Instructor component that is the foundation of all NRA instructor certifications (this last component is optional if you have taken the BIT within the last year)
This class includes 5 components and 2 Instructor Certifications:
- Basic Instructor Training (required for all NRA Instructor Certification).
- Shotgun Instructor Training
- Shotgun Basic Course, which is prerequisite
- Rifle Instructor Training
- Rifle Basic Course, which is prerequisite
IF already NRA Instructor with a BIT less than 2 years old you may join this class. IF NOT you need to take the Basic Instructor Training (BIT) class ahead of the training (no charge)
NO . . . this is not the class you need to take to be able to teach the Conceal Carry Courses.

INCLUSIVE Includes ALL Class Materials, range, classroom, and guns. All you need is 50 cartridges of .22LR and 50 shotgun shells to shoot your qualification exercises.

Top Notch Training

This was my 2nd and 3rd instructor class that I have taken from Bernard (read my 1st review on the instructor's pistol class because everything I stated in that review applies here). The major difference here is that in the shotgun and rifle class there is a lot more to learn and to qualify for. Bernard is patient and always takes the time to be sure you understand the lesson and more importantly that you are able to translate the necessary knowledge/skill set to your future student. He is adamant about safety and "allows no quarter" on the range...it is all business. He will only sign his name to certify you if he is comfortable that you will represent the NRA and his teachings appropriately. He represents what is best in the NRA and I highly recommend his classes to any serious firearms student. As I stated in my 1st review but is worth restating...you will get your money's worth and my expectations for the classes were not only met but were far exceeded.

This is a great class with a wonderful venue. Bernard gives each student the time and specific pointers needed to become a better shooter and instructor. I feel this was money and time well spent on my personal goal of becoming a better spokes person for the Second Amendment.

Another great class, a lot of information presented, fun moments and experiences, entertaining tidbits of wisdom. Can throw some really wicked clay birds that are almost impossible to hit just to keep us humbled and from feeling too good about ourselves. Very professional, very functional, very educational.

Great NRA Shotgun Instructor Course

The challenge was teaching someone to break clays with their non-dominant eye shooting opposite their normal side. Quite a task because it make you and them work to overcome natural tendencies. Nicely done!

If your goal is to become a 5 star instructor then you need 5 star training counselors teaching you. This is your place. I will be taking my 5th and 6th class from these guys this coming weekend. I am achieving my goals.

I have taken every course that Bernard offers. For me that has meant multiple 8 hour drives each way but the training that they offer is absolutely worth it. If you want to be the best then train with the best.

The presentation of the Learning Objectives were both fun and serious. Bernard and David have a different style of delivery which makes for a dynamic and interesting course. Teachers who will challenge you constantly. Filled with examples and anecdotes. Lengthy yet worthwhile. Time and money well spent. Achieve your goals while having fun!
